"Your account is not active" — how to get back in

Your company deactivated or removed your account, and only your Company Admin can reactivate it — Practis Support can't. Then log in with your usual email and password.

Applies to: Learner · Group Lead · Company Admin

This message means your Practis account was deactivated (or removed) by an administrator at your company — only a Company Admin at your company can reactivate it; Practis Support cannot reactivate accounts on a company's behalf.

The exact message

"Your account is not active. Please contact your administrator."

Why this happens
  • A Company Admin deactivated your account — common during role changes, leave, or offboarding cleanups.
  • Your account was removed. Removed accounts can also be restored by an administrator, with one exception noted below.

Deactivation doesn't delete your work: your training history and progress are kept, and they're all there again once the account is reactivated.

How to fix it
  1. Contact your manager or Company Admin and ask them to reactivate your account (them). They do this in Practis under Users: filter "Status" to "Deactivated", open your name, and choose "Reactivate user".
  2. Log in again after they confirm — no new invitation is needed; your existing email and password still work (you).

One exception: if an account was removed rather than deactivated and more than about 90 days have passed, it can no longer be restored — the administrator will see "This user was permanently anonymized and cannot be reactivated. Create a new user instead." In that case, ask them to invite you as a new user.

If that didn't work

If your administrator reactivated you and you still can't log in, have them confirm your status shows "Active" in Users, then contact Practis Support with your work email and the exact message you see (see How to contact Practis Support).
