Where are my notifications? (bell vs. Alerts tab)
In the current design, tap the bell at the top of Home; in the earlier design, open the Alerts tab. Switch designs with the Gameday toggle under Profile → Beta Features.
Applies to: Learner
Your notifications haven't gone anywhere — Practis currently has two designs, and where notifications live depends on which one your account uses: a bell on the Home screen in the current design, or an "Alerts" tab in the earlier design some accounts still see.
The exact messageThere's no error here — just two looks:
- Current design: no Alerts tab. Notifications open from the bell at the top of Home (it reads "Notifications, {n} unread" to screen readers) into a panel titled "Notifications", with filters "Feedback", "Reminders", "Activity", and "Achievements".
- Earlier design: a dedicated "Alerts" tab in the bottom bar, with a "{n} unread" counter and "Mark All as Read".
- Practis is rolling out a redesigned learner experience; accounts move over gradually, so coworkers can see different layouts.
- You can switch designs yourself under "Profile" → "Beta Features" — the redesign toggle is called "Gameday" ("The redesigned learner experience that guides you through your training.").
- No Alerts tab? Open Home and tap the bell at the top (you).
- No bell, but an "Alerts" tab at the bottom? That's the earlier design — your notifications are in that tab (you).
- Want the other design? Flip "Gameday" in "Profile" → "Beta Features" (you).
If notifications you expect aren't appearing in either place, check your two toggles under "Notifications" in the profile menu, then contact Practis Support with your work email and a screenshot of your Home screen (see How to contact Practis Support).
