"Update Required" and offline notices — what they mean
Update Required means your app version is too old: tap Update Now. Offline notices mean the app can't reach Practis: check Wi-Fi or mobile data, then tap Try again.
Applies to: Learner · Group Lead · Company Admin
These notices mean the app itself is fine: "Update Required" means your installed version is too old to continue, and the offline notices mean the app can't reach Practis right now — you can fix both yourself.
The exact message- "Update Required" — "A new version of Practis is available. Please update to continue." with an "Update Now" button.
- "You're Offline" — "Some features may be limited. Data will sync when you reconnect." (a dismissible banner).
- On Home with no cached data: "You're offline" — "Connect to Practis to load your training." with "Try again".
- Practis sometimes requires a minimum app version; below it, the app blocks itself until you update.
- Your device lost its internet connection, or the network can't reach Practis. Anything already loaded stays visible, and your data syncs when you reconnect.
- "Update Required" → tap "Update Now" to open your app store and install the update (you). If the store won't open, the app says so: "Open the App Store or Play Store and search for Practis to update."
- Offline notices → check Wi‑Fi or mobile data, then tap "Try again" (you). On the web, reload app.practis.ai.
- Mid-recording work isn't lost to a blip — see I left mid-session — is my progress gone? if you were interrupted.
If you're updated and online but the app still won't load, contact Practis Support with your device type, app version, and a screenshot of the notice (see How to contact Practis Support).
