Practis terms explained (glossary)

A Learning Path (formerly Practis Set) is your assigned training, made of Activities: Playbooks, Scenarios, Challenges, and Scrimmages. A Rep is one Scenario run.

Applies to: Learner · Group Lead · Company Admin

This glossary defines the terms Practis uses on screen, in the order you're most likely to meet them.

The terms

Term

What it means

Learning Path

A sequence of activities assigned to you as one unit of training. What you see listed on Home. See What is a Learning Path?

Activity

One step inside a Learning Path — a Playbook, Scenario, Challenge, or Scrimmage.

Playbook

A short primer to read before you practice. You mark it reviewed; it isn't scored.

Scenario

A scripted role-play you rehearse line by line with a teleprompter, with or without the script.

Challenge

A quick recorded drill — you respond to a prompt on camera, and a reviewer marks it.

Scrimmage

A live, open-ended voice role-play with an AI practice partner. See What is a Scrimmage?

Rep

One practice run through a Scenario. Paths can require a minimum number of Reps.

Accuracy Test

The final, scored Scenario recording — done without the script, submitted once.

practice partner

The AI character you talk to in a Scrimmage. Practice partners are built and assigned by Practis.

Activity Review

The results screen after a scored activity: your score, feedback, and transcript or playback.

Recordings

The tab that keeps your past practice sessions so you can replay and review them.

Pass mark

The score a scored Scrimmage requires to count as passed (shown as "Pass {n}%").

Streak

Consecutive days of practice, shown as a chip on Home (e.g. "{n} day streak").

Library

The learner tab listing everything assigned to you and available to enroll (current design only).

Notifications

Your in-app alerts — reminders, feedback, and assignments. Reached from the Home bell, or the "Alerts" tab in the earlier design.

Nudge

A message a Group Lead or Company Admin sends to remind a learner to train.

Due date

The date an assignment should be finished by. Practis sends reminders as it approaches and marks work Overdue after it.

Enrollment / assignment

Your personal copy of an assigned Learning Path, with its own progress and due date. Admin screens call these Path Enrollments.

Group

A set of users (team, department, business unit…) used for leading, assigning, and reporting. Groups can contain subgroups.

Group Lead

The coaching role: sees progress for led groups, reviews submissions, sends Nudges — read-only on everything else. (Some older screens still say "Team Leader".)

Company Admin

The role that runs the company account: users, groups, content, assignments, and reports.

Learner

Anyone doing training. Every role can also be a Learner.

AI minutes

Your personal budget of AI practice time for Scrimmages, counted in whole minutes per call. Limits are managed by your company and Practis.

Seats

Your company's licensed user count. Active users and pending invitations use seats.

Draft / Active / Archived

Content lifecycle states. Only Active content can be assigned and reach learners.

Notes

Older Practis material (and a few remaining screens) said "Practis Set" for what are now Learning Paths — if you see that term, read it as Learning Path. Likewise, "Team Leader" on older screens means Group Lead.
