How do I reset my password?
Forgot your password? Use the forgot-password option on the sign-in page and follow the reset email. Already logged in? Tap Change password in your Profile settings.
Applies to: Learner · Group Lead · Company Admin Takes: ~2 minutes
To reset a forgotten Practis password, use the forgot-password option on the sign-in page and follow the email you receive; if you're already logged in, change it from "Change password" in your settings instead.
Before you start- You need access to the email inbox on your Practis account.
- If your company signs in with single sign-on or you sign in with Google, you don't have a Practis password to reset — sign in the same way you always do. (Administrators can't set passwords for SSO or Google accounts either.)
Forgot your password (logged out)
- Go to the sign-in page (open the app or app.practis.ai).
- Choose the forgot-password option on the sign-in page. You'll see "Redirecting to password reset...".
- Enter your work email and submit.
- Open the reset email — its subject is "Request to reset your password" — and follow the link.
- Choose a new password and confirm it, then sign in.
Change your password (logged in)
- Go to your profile tab and open the menu.
- Tap "Change password".
- Enter your current password in "Enter current password", then a new password meeting all five rules shown: "At least 8 characters", "One uppercase letter", "One lowercase letter", "One number", "One special character (!@#$%^&*)".
- Save.
After a logged-in change: "Password Changed" — "Your password has been updated successfully." After a reset, you're returned to sign-in; log in with the new password.
If something goes wrong- "This reset link is missing required information. Request a new password reset email." → the link was cut off or reused; request a fresh reset email (you).
- No reset email after a few minutes → check spam, and confirm you used the email your Practis account is under (you).
- Can't receive email at that address anymore → your Company Admin can set a temporary password for you from your user page with "Set password" and share it with you directly; you can then change it in settings (them, then you). This isn't possible for SSO or Google accounts.
